Bicycle Film Festival

From 6-8 Oct 2016, Amsterdam celebrated the bicycle and its unique culture with films, art, talks and drinks. The Bicycle Film Festival finds its roots in New York. Brendt Barbur started the festival in 2001 after he was hit by a bus while riding his bike in New York City. He insisted on turning his negative experience into a positive one and, 15 years on, the festival has been a major catalyst for the rise of city cycling internationally.
